O R D E R

This Court by its order dated 10.10.2025 issued a direction to the first respondent not to alienate the property, if it is owned by the temple and if already any patta was issued to the down trodden, the same may not be disturbed.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent/District Collector carried out the eviction process on the ground that the said property was not owned by any temple and the same is classified as Kallanguthu poromboke and no patta was issued to any down trodden. Therefore, the idol, which was installed in the Kallanguthu poromboke was removed and handed over to the HR & CE Department.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this Court is of the view that there is no willful disobedience of the order of this Court on the part of the respondents. Page No.2 of 4

4. Hence, the sub applications stand closed and consequently, the Contempt petition is rejected at the SR Stage itself. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the competent Civil Court for getting appropriate remedy.
