PRAYER Writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 03.01.2025 and consequently directing the respondents to classify the petitioner land as a agricultural land in survey no. 466/1A1 Punjai Acre 0.55 5/16 cents situated at Thathanur Village, Avinashi Taluk, Thiruppur District.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 03.01.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for classifying the land belonging to the petitioner as an agricultural land, which has been wrongly reclassified as house site. 2.
When the matter came up for hearing on 12.02.2205, this Court passed the following order :- Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.B.Vijay, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for Respondents 3 and 4.

The main grievance that has been expressed by the petitioner is that the subject property is an agricultural land and whereas, it has been reclassified as a house site, despite the petitioner continuing to use the property for agricultural purpose. Hence, the petitioner wants the property to be continued as a agricultural land and to pass necessary orders in this regard.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents shall take instructions as to when such reclassification took place and if any proceedings have been initiated, the copy of the proceedings shall also be placed before this Court.
4. Post this case under the caption for orders on 10.03.2025. 3.
When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the representation made by the petitioner will be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law. 4.
Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court and the communication that has already been sent by the 3 rd respondent to the 2 nd respondent dated 27.02.2025, there shall be a direction to the 2 nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 03.01.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
