Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st Respondent to dispose the Appeal dated 25.02.2016 filed by the Petitioner, after providing an opportunity of personal hearing, within a stipulated time as prescribed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner prays for a mandamus directing the first respondent, the Commissioner, Corporation of Chennai to dispose the appeal filed on 25.02.2016, after hearing him in person. Upon instructions received, Mrs.P.T.Ramadevi, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Corporation states that the appeal, which has been received and acknowledged on 25.02.2016 by the Tapal Section, Zone-5, Corporation of Chennai is not available on file. However, she states that if an alternate copy of the same is filed, then the first respondent will dispose the same in accordance with law within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2.Accordingly, the petitioner is permitted to appear before the first respondent on Monday, the 9th of March, 2020 at 10.30 a.m. without expecting any further notice, with a copy of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

appeal/representation dated 25.02.2016. After taking the representation on file and hearing the petitioner in person, appropriate orders shall be passed thereupon by the first respondent within a period of four weeks from date of conclusion of personal hearing.

3.This writ petition is disposed in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
