The relief sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to direct the Respondent to select and appoint the petitioner as Jail Warden or Grade II PC Armed force and confer the consequential benefits based on the representation dated 18.10.2018 given by the petitioner.

2.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted an order issued by the Public Information Officer to the writ petitioner in proceedings dated 29.01.2019, stating that the writ petitioner was provisionally selected and his name was included in the select list. Test and as well as for the verification of antecedents and character.

3.In view of the fact that the writ petitioner has already been provisionally selected and his name has been included in the select list, no further adjudication is required in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition. 4.Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
