The petition has been filed seeking to direct the Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track, Alandur to complete the trial in C.C.No.18 of 2018 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track, Alandur.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he has filed a complaint under Section 138 read with Section 141 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, against the accused in C.C.No.18 of 2018 before the Fast Track Court, Alandur.

3.The petitioner as a complainant, completed his evidence on 19.11.2018, thereafter there is no progress in trial. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that during the year 2018, the accused admitted his liability and paid a sum of rupees one lakh and thereafter there is no progress. He would further submit Section 143 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, the case has to be tried summarily, whereas there is no progress for the past four years.

4.It is seen from records, after 19.11.2018 there is no progress in trial. In view of the above, a direction is issued to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Alandur to complete the trial in C.C.No.18 of 2018 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
