ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the VII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, to dispose C.C. No.2683 of 2010 within a time frame.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. The petitioner is the complainant in C.C. No.2683 of 2010 on the file of the VII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, George Town, Chennai and he has filed the present petition for a direction to the said Magistrate to complete the trial expeditiously.

This Court called for a report from the VII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai and the report dated 05.07.2016 submitted by the said Magistrate reads as under: "I humbly submit that the case details report called for in the reference No.1 that the above case was already transferred to the Hon'ble Fast Track Court IV Magisterial Level Court, George Town, Chennai -1. Hence, xerox copy of the letter was also hereby forwarded to Fast Track Court IV for complaints of report called for in ref.1."

From the above, it is clear that the case is no longer on the file of the VII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai and the same has been transferred long back to the Fast Track Court No.IV (Magisterial Level ), George Town, Chennai -1. Recording the same, this petition is closed with a direction to the petitioner to approach the Fast Track Court No.IV (Magisterial Level), George Town, Chennai -1.
