Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus petition directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body and person of Mr.Jagdishkumar, aged about 19 years son of the petitioner herein before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.TAMILVANAN, J.) Invoking Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner/father of the detenu has filed this petition, to cause production of his son Jagdishkumar, aged about 20 years, who is said to be in the illegal custody of the 3rd respondent and to set him at liberty.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner ; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. 3.Today the detenu Jagdishkumar is produced before this Court by the respondent police.

4.On enquiry, the detenu Jagdishkumar stated that he is 20 years old and he is not in the illegal custody of anybody much less the 3rd respondent herein and that he is living separately by renting a room in Saidapet, Chennai. He further expressed his unwillingness to go along with his parents and that he wish to stay alone only. 5.In view of the categorical submission of the detenu Jagadish Kumar, a major, this Court is of the considered view that no further orders need be passed in this petition excepting closing the same, as there is no illegal detention.
