This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the detenue, by name E.Sasikala, aged about 22 years, before this Court and hand over her custody to the petitioner.
2. The petitioner is the mother of the detenue. According to her, the detenue had completed M.Sc. [Micro Biology]. It is also stated that the petitioner and her husband made arrangements to perform the marriage of the detenue with a person of their choice. While so, the detenue was found missing from home since 30.11.2014. In this connection, a complaint was given to the respondent-Police https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
and the same was registered in Crime No.300/2014 as 'girl missing'. As there is no progress in the matter, the present petition has been filed.
3. Today, the detenue was produced before the Court by the 3rd respondent. On being enquired, the detenue had stated that she had married the 3rd respondent and they are living happily. She had also expressed her unwillingness to go along with her parents, who were also present before the Court. However, she is willing to go along with the 3rd respondent, her husband. The detenue, being major, is permitted to go as per her wish. With the above observations, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
