None appears on behalf of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner submitted an application on 21.11.2012, requesting the respondents to provide him water and drainage connection to his residence situated at Door No.6, Vadivelu Street, 1st Main Road, Perambur. It is the grievance of the petitioner that notwithstanding the said application, follow up action was not taken by the respondents. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.

3. The learned Standing counsel for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the application submitted by the petitioner would be considered on merits.

4. The second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application submitted by the petitioner on 21.11.2012, on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
