The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to call for the entire records pending on the file of the 2nd respondent in pursuance of the Letter dated 22.12.2022 and quash the same and consequently, direct the respondents 1 and 2 to fix and pay the compensation amount for the petitioner's plot bearing No.411A of Ragavendra Garden's Layout comprised in S.No.14/1 of Pelakuppam Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District.

2. The petitioner states that the land belonging to him was acquired for public purposes. The compensation is yet to be paid and the petitioner submitted a representation to settle the compensation. The Special Tahsildar (Land Acquisition) communicated an order to the District Collector, Villupuram in proceedings dated 22.12.2022, stating that in respect of the land belonging to the petitioner, the name of other person is also found and in respect of another person namely Mr.Ganesan, S/o.Vajravelu, there is a

discrepancy in the name of the father of Mr.Ganesan.

3. Since there is a discrepancy in the name of the father of the petitioner, the authorities are not in a position to settle the compensation. The order impugned reveals that the compensation will be deposited in the Court concerned and after getting clarification in this regard, the compensation will be settled. It is for the petitioner to resolve the issues by approaching the authorities concerned, whether it is Mr.Ganesan, son of Venkatesan (writ petitioner) or Mr.Ganesan, son of Vajravel. Therefore, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent authorities for the purpose of establishing his case through documents and evidences.

4. With this liberty, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. 12.06.2023 Jeni Index : Yes Speaking order To
