The above Writ Petition is filed for the issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order bearing No.548082/Ta-Ku2/2024, dated 24.12.2024, passed by the 3rd respondent and quash the same and consecutively direct the respondents to grant ordinary leave for 28 days without escort to the detenu, Ashish Sharma, life convict No.10635 (PID.582153), son of Muralidhar Sharma, aged about 35 years, detained at Central Prison, Puzhal.
2.The prisoner who has been convicted to life imprisonment and has served only ten months of the sentence, is not eligible to claim ordinary leave under the Provisions of the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 as amended in G.O.(Ms) No.205 Home (Prison - V) department dated 25.04.2022, and as such we do not find any reasons to interfere with the impugned order bearing No.548082/Ta-Ku2/2024, dated 24.12.2024, passed by the 3rd respondent. 3.This writ petition stands dismissed accordingly.
