The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2022 and grant patta in the name of the petitioner for the land comprised in Survey No.356/1 situated at Vilankuruchchi Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore District.

2. In respect of property at Survey No.356/1 situated at Vilankuruchchi Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore District, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, the patta stood in the name of the late father from whom since the property has been inherited by the petitioner, he had given a representation on 28.12.2022 to the respondent for issuance of patta or transfer of patta in the name of the petitioner and in order to consider the same, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.G.Saravanabhavan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that, the said application submitted by the petitioner by way of representation would be considered and decided on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent, the respondent is hereby directed 2/4

to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.12.2022 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
