ORDER

The petitioner College has sent a proposal to the Director of Collegiate Education for appointment of staff. However, the Director of Collegiate Education has replied stating that the election notification has come into force and therefore, any approval or appointment cannot be granted at this stage.

Since the election is going to be over and the academic year is to complete, the petitioner has come before this Court seeking direction to the respondents to pass orders on the claim of the petitioner dated 08.10.2015 for the sanction of strength of the Staff as the college is functioning without adequate lectures.

Heard Mr.R.Singaravelan, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.N.Rajagopalan, learned Additional Government Pleader.

It is brought to the notice of this Court by Mr.T.N.Rajagopalan, the learned Special Government Pleader that no representation was given by the petitioner to the Government in this regard and only it was given to the Collegiate Education.

In view of that, the petitioner is directed to give representation making his claim regarding sanction of staff strength within one week from the date of the receipt of a copy of the order to the 1st respondent and the Director of Collegiate Education. On such receipt of the representation from the petitioner, the 1st respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on merits after hearing the petitioner within four weeks thereafter.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently the connected WMP.Nos.15656 and 10295 of 2016 are closed.
