ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The Government Letter dated 07.11.2024 declining the request of the petitioner to mention "Kuruman" community as "FWk;gh; ; my;yJ FWk;gh;fs; "

"

" is under challenge in the present Writ petition. 2.

At the outset, the contention of the petitioner is that the translation of the community has been improperly made. During the course of argument, Ms.K.Nithyashree, the learned counsel for the petitioner would restrict the relief by stating that it would be sufficient if the name of the community is stated as "FWkd;!; ;". In respect of mentioning the community as stated under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amendment Act), 1976 (Central Act No. 108 of 1976), there may not be any difficulty for the authority.

3.

That being so, the respondents are directed to issue community certificate strictly as stated under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amendment Act), 1976 (Central Act No. 108 of 1976). While translating the name of the community, there should not be any prefix or suffix, and it should be stated as mentioned in the schedule. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. (S.M.SUBRAMANIAM J.)(K.RAJASEKAR J.) 19-03-2025 gd Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes
