COMMON ORDER According to the petitioner, who was employed with ACS Government solutions Group, Rockville, Maryland, as a Database Administrator, from April 1999, he made a representation dated 06.08.2004 to the Hon'ble Minister for Commerce, Government of India, New Delhi, requesting to issue a letter to the Consulate General of United States of America, Chennai, for grant of diplomatic visa, so as to enable him to prosecute the case filed by him, pending before the Federal District Court for the District of Columbia against ACS for the illegal arrest of 42 Indians and the ill-treatment of the petitioner, etc. Since the said representation was not considered, he submitted several representations to the respondents on 22.11.2004, 08.09.2008, 29.10.2009, 16.06.2010, 15.07.2011, 04.10.2011, 04.06.2012 and 20.05.2013.
However, none yielded any response, which compelled the petitioner to file these writ petitions seeking a direction to the respondents to pass appropriate orders, on the same. 2.Heard the petitioner as party-in-person and the learned senior panel counsel appearing for the respondents and also perused the documents enclosed in the typed set of papers. 3.Considering the limited prayer made herein, this court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner, if not considered earlier, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.All these writ petitions stand disposed of accordingly. No costs.
