O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the claim of the petitioner within a limited time frame for granting promotion on par with his junior C.Vaidyalingam with all consequential benefits.

2. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that presently, the petitioner is working as Forester. Eventhough he became fully qualified and eligible to be empanelled for promotion as Forester and was recommended to be included in the panel for the year 2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, his name was being ignored without informing him the reason and his name has been included for the year 2016-2017. Therefore, the petitioner made https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

a representation to the respondent on 29.10.2020 to consider his name for promotion to the post of Forester, but so far, the same has not been considered by the respondent. Hence the instant writ petition.

3. Mr.T.Arunkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent and he would submit that if the petitioner made a representation through proper channel, the same will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

4. In view of the aforesaid submissions and without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court is inclined to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner shall make a representation to the respondent along with this order copy.

5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
