ORDER

(Made by Dr. ANITA SUMANTH, J.) This petition has been filed by the mother of the detenu-Venkatesan seeking a writ of habeas corpus on account of the disappearance of the detenu from 12.03.2025 onwards. The petitioner has registered a complaint for man missing on 04.04.2025 in Cr.No.133 of 2025. She is aggrieved by the fact that the authorities have not located her son thus far.

2. The matter has been adjourned on few occasions earlier to afford opportunities to the respondents to trace the detenu.

3. A status report is filed today chronicling the efforts taken by the authorities in trying to secure the detenu, although to no avail.

4. In light of the aforesaid and since it is nobody's case, including specifically the petitioner, that the detenu is under illegal detention, we do not entertain this habeas corpus petition no longer and close the same, though directing the authorities to continue the investigation with vigour and make attempts to secure the detenu at the very earliest. No costs. [A.S.M, J.] [S.M, J.] 07.04.2026 Index:Yes/No Speaking Order/ Non-speaking Order 2/4
