O R D E R

This Petition has been filed seeking to call for the records in FIR No.99 of 2015 on the file of the 1st respondent Police and quash the same.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that it is a case in counter. The parties are neighbours and they have also compromised the disputes due to intervention of elders and well wishers. The 1st respondent has filed the final report in the counter case and the case was taken on file in C.C.No.65 of 2021 before the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ponneri. He would further submit that based on the compromise, the trial Court had acquitted the accused. He would pray the present FIR may also be quashed recording the compromise.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that the matter is still under investigation and three persons have been injured in this case.

4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner made a request before this Court to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report, so as to complete the trial at the earliest.

5. In view of the above, taking into consideration the fact that the FIR is of the year 2015, this Court directs the 1st respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioners shall co-operate for speedy disposal of the case. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
