This writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (CAT - 1) for the panel year 2011-2012.
2. Today, this matter is listed under the caption "for dismissal". However, the petitioner failed to appear before this Court and was not represented through a counsel. It appears that cause may not survive to the petitioner and hence, this writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution. Costs made easy.
