Alleging that the interim order of this Court dated 28.01.2022, made in W.P.No.699 of 2022, has not been complied with, the petitioner has come forward with this contempt petition.
2. The writ petitioner filed the writ petition challenging the Memorandum dated 11.01.2022, issued by the third respondent. This Court by an interim order dated 28.01.2022, has granted status quo in respect of appointment of Judicial Member to the State Consumer Forum, Puducherry. Subsequently a re-notification has been issued by the third respondent on 03.02.2022. The petitioner alleging that the said re-notification dated 03.02.2022, issued by the third respondent is passed in disobedience of the orders of this Court, has filed the present contempt petition.

Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that subsequently, the writ petition in W.P.No.699 of 2022, came up before the Hon'ble First Bench of this Court and the Hon'ble First Bench of this Court by an order dated 30.03.2022, has allowed the said writ petition. The learned counsel further submitted that the interim order passed by this Court and the subsequent re-notification issued 2/4
by the third respondent were also placed on record before the Hon'ble First Bench.

In view of the said submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that already the Hon'ble First Bench has considered the aforesaid facts and by its order dated 30.03.2022 has allowed the writ petition in W.P.No.699 of 2022, the present contempt petition cannot be sustained and the same has to be closed.
5. In view of the above, the contempt petition is closed. Consequently, the connected sub-application is also closed. No costs. 16.06.2022 Index: Yes / No kk 3/4
