O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in Spl.C.C.No.2 of 2015, pending on the file of the learned Special Judge (under Electricity Act 2003) / Principal District Judge, Puducherry as against the petitioner/A1.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and hence, this Court proceeded to peruse the records placed before this Court.

3. On a perusal of the materials, particularly the daily status of the case in Spl.C.C.No.2 of 2015, pending before the learned Special Judge (under Electricity Act 2003) / Principal District Judge, Puducherry, it is seen that the petitioner herein, who has been arrayed as A1 had passed away and hence, the trial court, on 21.11.2023, had recorded that the charge against the petitioner has abated. For the sake of ready reference, the e-Court status of Spl.C.C.No.2 of 2015 is scanned and reproduced below:-
