JUDGMENT
When the matter was listed on 09.03.2026, there was no representation for the appellant. Consequently, this Court directed the Registry to issue a bailable warrant against the appellant, Perumal, to be executed through the respondent, Inspector of Police, Vishnukanchi Police Station, Kancheepuram, to secure his appearance before this Court today, i.e., on 13.03.2026.
2.Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted a report stating that the appellant, Perumal, passed away on 15.12.2025. A formal Death Certificate has been produced before this Court and the same is placed on record. 3.In view of the fact that the sole appellant is deceased, the appeal against the conviction and sentence stands abated. The bailable warrant issued by this Court on 09.03.2026 stands recalled.
