Krishnagiri District B.T.Assistant (Science) from the date actually promoted i.e. 30.11.2018 with due seniority and continuous of service with all consequential attendant benefits.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the second respondent vide proceedings Na.Ka.No.0844/A5/2018 dated 19.10.2019 and the consequential order issued by the third respondent vide proceedings Na.Ka.No.6374/A1/2018 dated 21.10.2019. 2.

Though the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the entire bundle was handed over along with change of vakalat to the petitioner long back, even till today, the petitioner did not engage any new counsel to represent on his behalf. 3.

The second respondent filed counter and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2/6

petitioner was allotted to participate in the promotion counselling and promoted to the post of B.T.Assistant(Science) as per the proceedings dated 30.11.2018. However, the second respondent had addressed a letter to the University of Madras and sought for clarification as to whether B.Sc. Degree (Telugu medium) in Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Univerisity is equivalent to B.Sc. Degree of Madras University. Since no clarification was received from the Registrar of Madras University, the petitioner was reverted to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher as per the proceedings dated 19.10.2019. Now the University of Madras has sent clarification to the effect that the degree acquired by the petitioner is considered equivalent to the B.Sc. degree in Zoology in the University of Madras. Therefore, the request of the petitioner for inclusion of the name of the petitioner in the panel for promotion to the post of B.T.Assistant was considered and accordingly, the petitioner was subsequently promoted to the post of B.T.Assistant.

Recording the above submissions, this writ petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall 3/6

be no order as to costs.
