Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2017 for rectification of errors crept in the revenue records which were wrongly entered during UDR in respect of the lands to an extent of 1.40 acres comprised in Survey No.553 now sub-divided as Survey No.553/5 situated at Begaipallai Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District and issue patta to the petitioner within the time.

Mr.K.T.Devendran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to consider his representation dated 16.04.2017, wherein and whereby, he sought for rectification of errors crept in the Revenue records in respect of land measuring to an extent of 1.40 acres, comprised in Survey No.553 now sub-divided as Survey No.553/5, situated at Begaipallai Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District and issuance of Patta to the petitioner in his favour.

3. Heard both sides.

4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.04.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
