(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 294 (b), 324, 307, 506(2) of I.P.C. in Crime No.18 of 2021 on the file of respondent police and now, he has filed this petition for anticipatory bail.

2. The case of prosecution is that on the date of occurrence, the petitioner along with other accused have waylaid the defacto complainant, and attacked her with wooden log, thereby caused injury to her. Hence, the present complaint has been filed against the petitioner.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is an habitual offender and already he was convicted in three previous cases including the offence under Section 302 of I.P.C. Hence, this petition may be dismissed.

4. Taking into consideration of the fact that, the petitioner is an habitual offender and also convicted in three previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
