ORDER
This petition has been filed, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioners representation dated 05.12.2025.
2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final
disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is the devotee of Arul Kottam Arulmighu Murugan Thirukovil which was originally founded by one Sadhasivam belonged to Devendrakula Vellallar Community in the year 1966. Chitra Pournami Thiruvizha has been celebrated in the said temple for 16 days. The petitioner submitted a representation expressing the willingness to perform Ubayam for one day festival out of 16 days for Chitra Pournami function, hence, the petitioner filed a writ petition in WP.No.39117 of 2024 and this Court vide order dated 20.12.2024 directed the respondents to dispose of the representation. The temple authorities vide letter dated 15.02.2025 had stated that the temple will conduct festival after collecting donation from all the people irrespective of their community and individual. Hence, seeks for a direction.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction to permit the petitioner to pay the donation for the third day festival by including the petitioner's name.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.
6. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to perform Ubayam (donation) for the third day festival. It
is made clear that the temple authorities shall also accept donation from all the community including the petitioner. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
