ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1)(h), 4(1)(b), 4(1)(i) of TNP Act, 4(1)(A) & 14(A) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2024, and Sections 318, 336 & 340 & 341 of BNS. 2023, in Crime No.2 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail 1/4

2. According to the prosecution, when the respondent police conducted a vehicle check near Ulundurpet to Salem Roundana, the 1st accused was found to be in possession of 2400 brandy bottles. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner illegally transported 2400 brandy bottles in a vehicle. He further submitted that there is a previous case pending against the petitioner.

5. Considering the quantity of contraband seized, the nature of the allegation and the fact that a previous case pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 07-02-2025 rpl 2/4
