O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to consider and reply to the direction made by the 2nd Respondent dated 29.10.2018 with regard to the representation made by the petitioner, and/or any other appropriate Writ or Order or Direction.

2. The case of the petitioner is that, after the demise of his grandfather, the petitioner's father settled his properties in favour of the petitioner and from the date of settlement, the petitioner is in possession of the property and

carrying out cultivation in the said property. Such being the case, the Village Administrative Officer along with the Revenue Inspector and the Tahsildar obstructed the petitioner from cultivating his land after knowing that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the property stating that there is order passed by the Tahsildar, Uthukottai, Tiruvallur District that the nearby lands are owned by non-SC people and the petitioner was informed that if he carry out the cultivation in his land, water supply to his land will be stopped. With regard to the same, the petitioner made a representation to the 2nd Respondent on 07.09.2018 and the same was forwarded to the 1st Respondent, however, no steps were taken by the 1st Respondent with regard to the same. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed.

Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the *1st Respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2018 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame fixed by this Court

4. The learned counsel for the Respondents has no serious objection and the said order being passed and the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2018 will be considered and orders will be passed by the 1st Respondent in accordance with law within a particular time frame fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st Respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2018 along with relevant documents and pass appropriate orders within a period of twenty four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this *Writ Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No Costs.
