This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on 28.08.2023, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for issuance of patta exclusively in his name with respect to the subject property. 2.Heard Mr.S.Poovendhan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.

3.The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject property through a registered Sale Deed dated 28.06.2004, wherein, the property was purchased jointly with the sister. Later, the sister has released her right in the property through a Release Deed dated 31.03.2023. The patta as its stands carries the name of the petitioner and his sister. Since the sister has already given up the right, the 2/4

petitioners wants the patta to be transferred exclusively in his name. An application was submitted in this regard on 28.08.2023 and the same was not acted upon. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to deal with the application dated 28.08.2023 and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
