Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to invite the petitioner for written examination for the post of jeep driver held by the respondent in pursuance to representation of the petitioner 1/ 2021.

Heard both sides and perused the materials placed before this Court.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the respondent to invite him for written examination for the post of jeep driver in pursuance of the representation of the petitioner.

3.The case of the petitioner is that he is eking his livelihood as a driver.

The second respondent issued Notification for the post of Jeep Driver and the petitioner applied for the said post along with the required documents and also participated in the Certificate Verification, however, he https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

was not allowed to participate in the written examination. In this regard, he made representation to the respondents and since there was no response, has filed this writ petition. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner now confines the prayer to the extent that a direction be given to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation. 5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is over aged. However, he fairly submitted that the petitioner's representation would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the first respondent only on merits. 6.In view of the above, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

7.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
