The instant writ petition is filed to issue a writ of certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records in the order bearing Rc.No.234864/NGB.V(2)/2007 dated 30.07.2009 and the order bearing Rc.No.161407/NB.V(2)/2009 dated 07.01.2010 issued by respondent 2 and quashing the same and directing respondent 2 to consider the petitioners for promotion as Inspectors on temporary basis in accordance with law.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners states that the issue involved in this writ petition has become infructuous and he has also made an endorsement to that effect. The submission is taken on record.

3. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
