ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to forebear the respondents 1 to 3 from issuing patta to the respondents 5 and 6 for the lands morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition pending disposal of the appeal dated 17.12.2025 filed by the petitioner, which is pending on the file of the first respondent within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The relief sought for in this writ petition to forebear the respondents 1 to 3 from issuing patta to the respondents 5 and 6 cannot be granted by this Court. Admittedly, the petitioner has filed an appeal dated 17.12.2025 against the proceedings of the official respondents granting patta for the property in favour of the respondents 5 and 6. The said appeal is pending on the file of the first respondent. If the petitioner succeeds in the appeal dated 17.12.2025, the earlier proceedings of the official respondents granting patta will automatically get reversed. Therefore, the question of granting relief as prayed for in this writ petition to forebear the respondents 1 to 3 from issuing patta in favour of the respondents 5 and 6 does not arise. The only relief that can be granted by this Court is to direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 17.12.2025 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
3. Mr. D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4. Since no adverse orders are passed against
the respondents 5 and 6, notice to the respondents 5 and 6 is dispensed with by this Court.
4. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's appeal dated 17.12.2025.
5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's appeal dated 17.12.2025 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after hearing the objections of the respondents 5 and 6 as well as any other third party whom the first respondent deems it fit to enquire.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. 12-02-2026 Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes ab To 1.The Revenue Divisional officer Walajah Taluk, Ranipet, Ranipet District 2.The Tahsidhar Walahjah Taluk, Ranipet District 3.The zonal Deputy Tahsildhar, Walahjah Taluk, Ranipet District 4.The Village Administrative officer Melvisharam Village, Walahjah Taluk, Ranipet District
