ORDER
The petitioner asserts that sale deed dated 09.10.2025 was executed in her favour for the purchase of 1.05 acres in Survey No.184 and Survey No.27/3. When presented for registration, it is stated that the registering officer said that an order of the Madras High Court has to be examined and that the document is being kept pending on that account.
2. Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for the sole respondent. Handing over order dated 14.07.2025 in W.P.No.25470 of 2025, he submits that a protest petition was received in respect of Survey Nos.18/4 and 27/3 in U.Maramangalam Village, Omalur Taluk. Therefore, he submits that such protest petition would be considered and disposed of in terms of Rules 54 and 55 of Registration Rules before taking a decision on the petitioner's request for registration.
3. Considering the aforesaid, this writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:
(i) The registering officer shall issue notice to the petitioner, the persons who lodged the protest petition and any other persons interested in the relevant property.
(ii) After disposing of the protest petition in terms of the Registration
Rules, the registering officer shall either register the document or issue a speaking order of refusal under Section 71 of the Registration Act. These actions shall be taken within thirty days from the date of representation of the petitioner.
(iii) No costs.
