These impleading applications are filed by individual members of the Medak, Nazerath and Coimbatore Dioceses, which function under the aegis of the CSI. Each applicant makes assertions in respect of the impugned meetings of the Diocesan Councils.

2. Learned senior counsel appearing for the first to fifth defendants in the suit submits that these defendants refute all the allegations in the affidavit. It is further submitted that the maintainability of the suit is being questioned.

3. Learned counsel for the plaintiff has no objection to these applicants being impleaded.

4. At this juncture, it is unnecessary to record any findings with regard to the veracity of the allegations made by the applicants. The question relating to the maintainability of the suit is also left open. Given the nature of the suit, these persons would, at a minimum, quality as proper parties whose presence would enable the Court to effectively adjudicate the issues arising for consideration.

5. Therefore, all these impleading applications are allowed. The plaintiff is directed to carry out the consequential amendments in the plaint on or before 28.02.2023.
