This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to call for the records of the respondents in connection with the impugned order passed by the first respondent in RC No.NGBIV(2)/133757/2012 dated 01.08.2012 and quash the same.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent has submitted a copy of the order of Upgradation of Head Constable (Local) As Special Sub-Inspector of Police (Local) dated 06.02.2015, wherein, it is stated that the petitioner was upgraded to the post of Special Sub-Inspector of Police on 01.01.2015 and moreover, he has been retained in the same Police Station i.e., Vaitheswarankovil Police Station, Mayiladuthurai. Hence, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
