The prayer in the Writ Petition is to call for the records pertaining to the order dated 12.06.2017 made in Na.Ka.No.B5/9406/2015 and quash the same and consequently to direct the respondents to include the petitioner's name in the joint patta Nos.347,71,162,490 for the lands situate in 103, Vellore North, Vellore District.

2. Heard Mr.T.Dhanasekaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. This Writ Petition has been filed against the order passed by the Tahsildar/third respondent rejecting the request of the petitioner to include his name and issue a joint patta. Against the said order, an appeal is maintainable under Section 12 of the Patta Pass Book Act, 1973. Without exhausting the appeal remedy, the petitioner has approached this Court. Hence, the petitioner is directed to approach the Revenue Divisional Officer (R.D.O.) by filing an appeal, who is the competent authority to decide the appeal.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
