PRAYER IN W.P. No.4958 of 2026 Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to revise the petitioners wages with effect 01.09.2023 based on the 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025 and pay him the difference in Leave salary, Gratuity and Arrears of Pension from 01.03.2024 to 31.07.2025 along with the interest at the rate of 12 percent per annum from the date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court.

Pavithra COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed to direct the respondents to revise the petitioners' wages with effect 01.09.2023 based on the 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025 and pay them the arrears of pension payable for respective periods viz., 01.04.2024 to 31.07.2025 and 01.03.2024 to 31.07.2025, difference in Leave Salary and Gratuity along with the interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the date of entitlement till the date of actual disbursement within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioners joined the service of the first respondent and retired from service on 31.03.2024 and 29.02.2024 respectively. Thereafter, they submitted representations on 22.12.2025 and 23.12.2025 seeking their retiral benefits as well as to revise the petitioners wages with effect from 01.09.2023 based on the 15th wage settlement, which are stated supra. As the said representations have not been considered, till date, these writ petitions have been filed with the aforesaid prayer.

3. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the limited request sought for in these writ petitions, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioners' representation as stated supra and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the petitioner is entitled for interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of entitlement till the date of disbursement.
5. With the above directions, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
