Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 31.10.2005 in respect of petitioner's possession of land in Ernapuram Village, Sangagiri Taluk, Salem District in Survey No.18/2 admeasuring an extent of Hec.0.24.5 and quash the same and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner. ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.P.R.Balasubramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the sole petitioner had died long back and till date no steps have been taken to bring on record the legal representatives of the deceased petitioner. In view of the above submission, the writ petition is dismissed as abated. No costs. Consequently, W.P.M.P.No.39540 of 2005 is closed.
