ORDER

The relief sought in this writ petition is for consideration of the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Sub Inspector and empanel the petitioner in the list of candidates eligible for promotion to the said post. Subsequent to filing of the present writ petition, the case of the petitioner was considered for promotion to the post of Sub Inspector and was also promoted. The dispute pertains to the entitlement of the petitioner for retrospective promotion is subject matter of W.P.No.11651 of 2014 and 17216 of 2007 which are also pending before this Court. 2.In view of the same, the relief sought in this writ petition has 2/4

become infructuous and accordingly writ petition is closed. If need be, it is open to the petitioner to agitate all the grounds raised in the writ petition in the subsequent writ petition.

3.In the result, writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
