DR.No.15241 of 2022 SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY,J The applicant seeks leave to institute the suit against respondents 1 to 3, 5 to 14, 16 to 30, 33, 35 to 37 before this Court. The applicant states that the cause of action for the suit has arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court on account of the fact that the movie in question is being released in four languages, including Tamil, and is slated for release in Chennai.

2. Upon considering the above submission and on examining the draft plaint, I find that the cause of action has arisen, at least in part, within the jurisdiction of this Court. Accordingly, A.No.566 of 2022 is allowed by granting leave to the applicant to institute the suit against proposed defendants 1 to 3, 5 to 14, 16 to 30, 33, 35 to 37 before this Court. Consequently, the Registry is directed to number the suit, if it is otherwise in order.
