PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the order of the second respondent in Per.P.B.(FB) No.26 dated 16.08.2005 and quash the same insofar as it has prescribed a minimum period of one year regular service rendered after acquiring BE Degree or equivalent qualification for internal selection to the categories of Assistant Engineer / Electrical, Mechanical / Civil and consequently direct the respondents to relax one year rule of experience in the case of SC/ST candidates in the selection and appointment of SC/ST employees to the post of Assistant Engineer/Electrical by calling for a fresh list of SC/ST candidates even without one year experience as Junior Engineer/Technical Assistants for selection and appointment to the post of Assistant Engineer/Electrical. When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the prayer sought for by the petitioner in the present Writ Petition has become infructuous and she has also made an endorsement to that effect.

2. Recording the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respondents 1 and 2 and the endorsement so made, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
