Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to revoke the order of suspension order dated 22.06.2018 made in C.No.D1/7557/2018, RO.No.151/2018 passed by the respondent by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.01.2019.

The order of suspension dated 22.06.2018 issued by the respondent is under challenge in the present writ petition. 2.The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that on account of certain family disputes, a criminal case was registered against the writ petitioner in Crime No.291/2018 under Section 366 and 506(1) I.P.C. by the Anthiyur Police Station.
3.It is contended that the case registered is unconnected with the official functions and performance of the writ petitioner and therefore, the authorities ought to have considered the case of the writ petitioner for revocation of suspension.
4.This Court is of an opinion that the writ petitioner is serving as a Sub Inspector of Police. Thus, he supposed to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
maintain the character, integrity and honesty throughout both inside the office as well as outside the office. The public servants, more specifically, the Uniformed Personnel are enjoying a status from the society. By virtue of their status, they are supposed to behave properly with the public in general. Undoubtedly, a criminal case is registered. However, it is contended that the said case is in connection with certain family disputes of the writ petitioner.
5.This being the factum now placed before this Court, the respondents shall review the suspension order on merits and in accordance with law. Thus, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to review the order of suspension by considering the merits and demerits of the case of the writ petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
