Respondents Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to release the payment of Rs.41 55 918/- to the Petitioner with interest in the name of retention amount for the work executed by the Petitioner as per the work order in B.R.R. C.No.B1/ 0274 / 2015 dated 10.04.2015 on the file of the 2nd respondent as per the representation of the Petitioner dated 03.05.2019 and 28.11.2022. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was awarded contract on 23.3.2015 and the works have been completed before the contract period. However, the retention amount of Rs.41,55,918/- has not been paid till date despite several representations made by the petitioner. Therefore, the present writ petition.

2. Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the amount will be paid to the petitioner within a period of four weeks.

3. Recording the said submission made by the counsel appearing for the respondent, the respondents are directed to pay the retention amount within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

4. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed off. No costs.
