This petition has been filed to direct the respondents police to provide police protection to harvest the paddy in Survey Number 44/2B, 18/2, 51/11 at Maruthamanickkam Village in Perumpannaiyoor, Thiruvarur District.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 and perused the materials placed on record.

On a perusal of the records, it appears that there are several disputes between the petitioner and the counter parties. Therefore, the petition has been filed to protect the paddy land premises in Survey Nos.44/2B, 18/2, 51/11 at Maruthamanickkam Village in Perumpannaiyoor, Thiruvarur District. This petition has been filed in the month of March, 2018 when the paddy harvest has been over. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
