Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 06.01.2025 against the order of the second respondent in COLREV/42077/2023-A4 dated 10.12.2024 regarding wrong entry of third parties names in Patta entries in respect of land situated at Ponneri Taluk, Thandalkazhani Village, comprised in Survey No.32/3A2A2 measuring an extent of 0.05 in Patta Nos.2460 & 2768 within a stipulated time period. This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 06.01.2025 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.C.Pratheep Ashok Kumar, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3.

3. The second respondent, through proceedings dated 10.12.2024, rejected the application submitted by the petitioner for removal of the names of some of third parties, who are the respondents 4 to 6, in the patta pertaining to 2/4

the subject property. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent on 06.01.2025. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the application submitted by the petitioner on 06.01.2025 after affording opportunity to the respondents 4 to 6, on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
