This Writ Petition is filed challenging the award passed in C.P. No. 198/2000 dated 20.09.2012 by the 1st respondent/Labour Court, Salem. 2.When this matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel representing the respondents submitted that aggrieved by the order passed in I.D.No.88 of 1997 dated 22.01.1997, through which this C.P.No.198/2000 originates, the petitioner management has preferred Writ Petition in W.P. No.19999 of 1999, which came to be dismissed. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner corporation has also preferred W.A. No. 3635 of 2019 and same was also dismissed. Once the Writ Petition and Writ Appeal are dismissed, confirming the orders passed in I.D. No.88 of 1997, there is nothing left for the petitioner in challenging the C.P. orders.

It is also further submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that as per the orders in C.P. No.198/2000, the petitioner Corporation has deposited a sum of Rs.1,83,295/- before the 1st respondent/Labour Court. Once the petitioner has already complied with the direction of C.P. and deposited the money as directed in the C.P. order, this petition challenging the C.P. becomes infructuous.

does not survive any more for the petitioner. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. The respondents are at liberty to withdraw the amount deposited by the petitioner before the trial. No costs.
