ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.01.2023 and to permit the petitioner family to conduct Masi Festival on 20.02.2023 and 21.02.2023 in Arulmigu Angalamman and Periyanayagi Amman Temple at Korakkavadi Village, Thittagudi Taluk, Cuddalore District.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner and his family members have been conducting Masi Festival during the month of Masi for several years. He further submitted that in the last year also, petitioner had filed direction petition before this Court in W.P.No.4390 of 2022 dated 28.02.2022 and obtained police protection for conducting Masi Festival. This year also petitioner apprehends that some discrepancy may create law and order issue. Therefore, the petitioner gave a representation before the respondent on 13.01.2023 seeking police protection for conducting Masi Fetival. But till now, no order was passed. Therefore, present petition is filed.

3. In response, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for respondents submitted that petitioner gave a representation on 13.01.2023 2/4

seeking police protection for conducting Masi festivat at Arulmigu Angalamman and Periyanayagi Amman Temple at Korakkavadi Village, Thittagudi Taluk, Cuddalore District and it is available with the respondents. Based on which, appropriate orders will be passed.

4. In the light of the submissions made by both the parties, respondents are directed the consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.01.2023 and pass appropriate orders including police protection in the manner known to law.
