CRIME NO. 137/2021.

Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein the High Court will be pleased to Modify the condition accordingly each of the petitioner is directed to deposit a sum of RS.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten lakhs only) to the Credit of Crime No.137/2021 within a period of 3 weeks from the date on which the order copy made ready imposed on the petitioner in Crl.OP.1028/2022 dated 31.01.2022. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of M/S B.SRIDHAR, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.L.BASKARAN, Govt. Advocate (Crl. Side) on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- The Petitioner has filed this petition seeking to modify the condition that the petitioner was directed to deposit a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) to the credit of crime No.137 of 2021 imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.1028 of 2022, while granting anticipatory bail.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner and his relative accounts were blocked by the respondent police, due to which, the petitioner was not able to mobilize the funds. Hence,the present modification petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the family members of the petitioner utilised the amount which was received from the defacto complainant https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and others by giving false promise for getting job in housing board and created a fake Government Order. He further submitted that the A1 detained under Goondas Act.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the bank account of the petitioner and his relatives were seized by the investigating agency, the reason is justifiable, the condition already imposed by this Court is modified the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.7,00,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs Only) to the credit of Crime No.137 of 2021 before the CCB and CBCID Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, within a period of two weeks from the date on which, the order copy was made ready. The petition is ordered.
