ORDER

The civil revision petition is filed seeking a direction to Principal Family Court, Coimbatore to dispose of the HMOP.No.449 of 2017 as expeditiously as possible.

2. The respondent/wife filed main HMOP.No.449 of 2017 seeking divorce. The petitioner also filed counter claim seeking divorce on the ground of cruelty. Since the main OP is pending for the past 7 years, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking expeditious disposal of the original petition.

3. A perusal of the adjudication papers filed in the typed set of papers would indicate that the pleadings of the parties were completed as early as October 2018 and thereafter, the matter has been simply adjourned for recording evidence without any progress. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that enquiry was in the stage of R.W.1 cross.

4. In view of the fact that main OP was of the year 2017 and the same has been simply adjourned from 2018 for recording evidence, this Court is inclined to direct the Family Court, Coimbatore to dispose of the main OP as expeditiously as possible.

5. With this direction, the civil revision petition stands disposed of. No costs.
