ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] Seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body and person of the petitioner's son S.Raghavan, aged about 38 years, before this Court and to set him at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that her son Raghavan, aged about 38 years, went missing from 17.07.2018 and that the police have not taken effective steps to secure him. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that Raghavan married one Nithya and they were living in Door No.9, F1, M.Block, VGK Sumangali Apartment, Nehru Colony, 6th Street, Mudichur, Chennai 600 048; that Raghavan went missing on 20.04.2018 and on a complaint given by Nithya, a case in Peerkankaranai Police Station Crime No. 283 of 2018 for man missing was registered; Raghavan was secured on 29.04.2018 and the case was closed.
4. Now, again, Raghavan has gone missing on 17.07.2018 and on a complaint given by the petitioner, a fresh case in Peerkankaranai Police Station Crime No. 856 of 2018 has been registered for man missing and the investigation is in progress.
5. Recording the same, the habeas corpus petition stands closed with the direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Selaiyur to monitor the investigation in Peerkankaranai Police Station Crime No. 856 of 2018 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu is secured, he may be produced before the Judicial Magistrate I, Tambaram, under intimation to the petitioner.
